WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT PASS THE TEST?
The test is on the CD ROM. You must score 100% on both the theoretical and practical part of the test. However you can take the test as often as you wish. If you make an error during the Theory section you will have to re-do the questions. During the practical test you must correctly demonstrate all required skills. If you make a mistake you can re-try that skill or you can go back into the course to practice your skills. (Top)

WHO ISSUES FAFA CERTIFICATES AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET IT?
The FAFA National Registry issues FAFA certificates.
Based on our rigorous testing, other organizations also are able to issue their certificates when people pass our tests. Contact us for more information on those companies.
FAFA maintains records of all information related to the course, including what each student scored on each skill.
When a student submits their test results to FAFA via the internet, it is possible to immediately print an "Interim Certificate". This is valid for 30 days.
As soon as the results are received and evaluated, FAFA will issue the formal certificate. It will be sent through the mail. The client should have the official certificate within a week of submitting their results. (Top)
WHO APPROVES CPR TRAINING?
The American Heart Association publishes guidelines for CPR, most recently in the 2005 Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care, which are revised only every 4-5 years. Occasional focused interim updates are also distributed. The
AHA is not responsible for and does not approve CPR training courses.
It is the responsibility of all education and training organizations to comply with the best available medical evidence from these guidelines and updates as well as the published medical literature. (Top) More information related to approvals >>>
SPECIAL ISSUES FOR AED TRAINING
Why get prescription when you purchase an AED?
Because federal law requires it. (Top)
In what states is our AED prescription valid? In the United States an AED is classified as a medical device. In order to purchase an AED an individual must have a prescription to purchase the device. FAFA is able to issue this prescription. (Top)
Our medical prescription to purchase an AED is valid for purchase of an AED in all states except Illinois. For more information on our certificates check out our FAQ. (Top)
Why does FAFA test your CPR when you do the AED training?
It is illegal to issue an AED certificate unless a person is able to perform CPR. The reason behind this is clear. If you an AED and the heart restarts its normal rhythm, the person may not have resumed breathing. Thus it will be necessary to perform ventilations. Therefore the FAFA AED training includes a refresher course in how to perform CPR and we test that you can perform CPR correctly before we issue the AED certificate. (Top)
