DEMONSTRATE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
FAFA tests are designed so that every student must demonstrate mastery of a) theory, and b) skills. There are 2 main sections in the test. As required by the guidelines, FAFA tests both practical and theoretical skills.

CONTEXT
Every student that takes a FAFA test is tested on all skills required by the guidelines. In recognition of how skills are related, the test places students in different scenarios. The student must make decisions on what to do and how to perform within that whole scenario.

TESTING IS PART OF LEARNING
Testing lets students know whether they have mastered the material and skills or whether they need more practice. If a person makes a mistake, there is a hot link directly back to the section in the course where material was taught. The student can practice the skills and then return to the test.

SCORE REQUIRED
In learning how to perform CPR or how to use an AED, a person must learn the procedures so that in an emergency they do not have to think. Their ability to perform the required skills, that is their competence, must be 100%. That is why FAFA requires a score of 100% on all skills.

SUBMITTING RESULTS
Once the test is complete, the results are sent to FAFA via the internet. Results are verified and archive in the FAFA national registry.
